UB Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction (CLaRI)
Mission
Our Goal is to create success for children who are struggling to read and write. Through evaluation, instruction, and planning for reading and writing success, we support children, their parents, and their teachers. We are committed to the education of all children regardless of their socioeconomic, linguistic, cultural, religious, racial, or ethnic background.
CLaRI After School Intensive Tutoring
Tutoring takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:45PM. Click here to see schedule.
Tutoring Sessions: $30 per session
Spring session is January through April
January Tuition: $150 (5 sessions)
February Tuition: $210 (7 sessions)
March Tuition: $240 (8 sessions)
April Tuition: $90 (3 sessions)
1. All tutoring must be conducted at CLaRI or virtually. Off-site tutoring is not permitted.
2. All CLaRI books and resources must be returned to CLaRI at the end of tutoring and in the same condition as they were loaned to you.
3. Refunds will not be given for any missed sessions, for any reason
Fall Session-CLaRI -Saturday One-to-One Reading and Writing Sessions
CLaRI will offer both in-person and virtual Saturday morning literacy tutoring.
Tutoring occurs each Saturday at 9:00, 10:15, or 11:30.
Tutoring Sessions: $60 per session
Fall session is 12 weeks

* In bringing your child to the University at Buffalo’s Center for Literacy and Reading Instruction and registering here, you
indicate that you are aware that:
1. All tutoring must be conducted at CLaRI or virtually. Off-site tutoring is not permitted.
2. All CLaRI books and resources must be returned to CLaRI at the end of tutoring and in the same condition as they were loaned to you.
3. Families are expected to attend each session. 24 hour prior notice is required for an excused absence (family emergency/illness/vacation). Only one make-up session will be offered for the excused absence. Refunds will not be given for any additionally missed sessions, for any reason.
4. Families are expected to attend each tutoring session for each of the four months during fall tutoring: September, October, November, and December. Families are responsible for paying for each tutoring session over the four months, even if their child(ren) does not attend tutoring (one make-up session is available for one excused absence per child).

HOMEWORK OPTION for CLaRI -Saturday One-to-one Reading and Writing Sessions
Saturday Morning Homework Sessions
Our teachers work very hard to create individualized instruction to meet the unique literacy needs of each child. Because planning and creating homework requires additional teacher time, homework is an additional cost. Indicate how much time each week you would like your child to spend on homework.
Homework options:
Fall Session (based on 12 weeks)
*15 minutes each week -$60
*30 minutes each week -$120
Spring Session (based on 15 weeks)
*15 minutes each week -$75
*30 minutes each week -$150
